Weekend Trip to Kabini, Balle, Nagarahole --- Breathtaking Trip

This was a much awaited holiday for me. The last trip I completed with family was on Dec 31 st 2017 when we went to visit Puspagiri and stayed in our tents in amidst the jungle and that was truly a breathtaking experience. Post that I never got a chance to take my family out on a vacation. I was reading one of the books written by K P Poornachandra Tejaswi a renowned Kannada writer and the book was a translation work of the jungle stories. Kaadina Kathegalu is the name of the book. My head started revolving around the jungle and the beauty of the Nilgiris and the Western Ghats. I just started browsing through the net and started tracking the resorts in and around Kabini and Nagarhole. The resorts around Kabini are way too expensive and that would burn your wallet easily. The price range in Kabini would start from INR 9000 to INR 18000 per person per day in an all-inclusive pack. Planning a weekend is a very challenging task in every one’s life. I just wanted to escape the weekends in and around Bangalore and explore the nature with lots of fun and adventure. I lead a life where-in normality is very boring and unorthodox. It was yet another weekend with an additional 2 days approved leave I had availed to explore this adventure on my bike. For me, it’s was more than a years’ time that I had not been on a bike ride (last ride being to Lepakshi Hindupur), so I was excited and up for it. My Itinerary was for 2 days. As per my schedule I had to cover these tourist places on day 1 and that included Mekedatu Shivanasamudram falls Talakadu Somanathpura temple BR Hills Day 2 Itinerary included Chamundi hills Zoological park Mysore palace Ranganathittu Tippu sultan’s Daria Daulath Bhag Sri Ranga Temple I decided to ride solo on my HONDA unicorn 150 cc bike and on Friday itself ensured that my bike was all good and fit for this journey

Ugadi, the traditional New Year’s Day celebrated across, is derived from Sanskrit yuga (age) and aadi (beginning) and denotes the beginning of a new age. People prepare a special meal that must include pachadi, a festive dish that combines sweet, sour, salty and bitter flavors, a reminder that one must accept all kinds of experiences in the year ahead. I wish this "VILAMBI" samvatsar will get you a lot of sweet with very little sour and bitter in life... The day is considered very auspicious as it is believed that Lord Brahma had created the universe on this day, and it also marks the beginning of the Satyayug. According to Hindu religion, a cycle of 60 years is known as Samvatsara, and this day marks the beginning of a new Samvatsara. Interestingly, all the 60 Samvatsaras are identified by unique names.
